Physical activity is an international expression used to explain the movements of the body by using energy. A physical activity can be defined as an activity of the everyday life by using muscles and joints, realized with energy consumption, increasing the heart beating and finalized with different intensities of fatigue.
Different categories of sports include either the whole body or parts of the body such as,
- Riding bicycle
- Squatting exercises
- Arm and leg movements
- Head and body movements
Other activities like dancing are considered as a physical activity. Exercise is a physical activity which is made regularly. The exercise contains the regular and repetitive movements of the body.
There are 3 types of exercises:
- Aerobic exercise: strengthens the heart and the lungs. It uses oxygen abundantly and allows loss of calories (For example: walking, biking, swimming, tennis).
- Exercises of resistance, reinforcing and weight: these are the activities which activate big muscular groups belonging to the regions of legs, arms, the thorax and abdomen (For example: walking, carrying child, raising weights, weights). This type of exercise; increases the percentage of muscles of our body allowing lifting, moving and carrying.
- Exercises of balance and extension: they burn less calories, increase the length of muscles and increase the movements of joints allowing to stretch out - to extend and to bend, reduce the muscular tension and prevent wounds (For example: light yoga, stretching, etc.).
Sports is a general name given to organized games applied according to certain rules, made by individuals or groups of individuals for health purposes, of leisure or show, requiring a physical and/or intellectual activity.
